Meta Ray-Ban Display / 2026
MuniSniper
A street-level transit assistant that locks onto the stop, route, direction, and next arrival without forcing the rider into a map app.
What
MuniSniper is a Meta Ray-Ban Display prototype for transit riders moving through the city. The demo surfaces the selected route, nearest stop, walking distance, arrival windows, direction, and route schematic directly over the street.
Why
Transit navigation is usually split between the world and the phone: look up, look down, reorient, repeat. MRBD can make that loop tighter by keeping the route answer attached to the user’s actual surroundings.
Role
Obstinate built the product direction and interface prototype around a simple goal: make public transit feel targetable at a glance. The design favors one visible route, one current decision, and enough supporting context to move with confidence.
Interaction
The user can scan route detail, compare next arrivals, check walking distance, save a stop, and toggle into a route schematic. The app behaves less like a full map and more like a focused transit instrument.
Value
MuniSniper shows how wearable UI can remove small but constant frictions from city movement: confirming the right stop, understanding direction, and seeing when the next useful vehicle arrives without breaking stride.
